ISO Misunderstood

Understand ISO and stop fearing limited light situations

“KEEP YOUR ISO VALUE DOWN AS LOW AS POSSIBLE” is what I learnt in the beginning of my photography career, and I bet you did too. What would you say if I told you I rarely, if ever, keep my ISO value below 640, yes, even in daylight. And what if I told you, that I often shoot at ISO 10,000 (gasp!) and can still get clean, sharp images?

Your ISO value is so integral to your image, but so many neglect it because they don’t fully grasp the concept of it. My hope is that after this course, you’ll handle your ISO like the boss photographer you are, and not be afraid of any situation you find yourself in, because you are confident, firstly in your camera’s ISO capabilities, and secondly, in yourself as an artist to use ISO to your advantage.
